Welcome to Small Talk Psychotherapy, where big change starts with small conversations.
Malki Mori, LCSW, is a psychotherapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who are neurotypical or neurodivergent. Malki also provides parenting support and family sessions.
As a therapist dedicated to supporting children and adolescents, I understand that emotional regulation, social challenges, and academic pressures can be overwhelming—especially for those navigating ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyslexia, anxiety, or depression. In my practice, I create a warm, engaging environment where young individuals feel safe to express themselves.
Through interactive play and gentle conversations—what I like to call "Small Talk"—I connect with each child to explore their unique strengths and challenges. By focusing on their inherent abilities, we work together to build self-esteem and develop effective coping and social skills. My goal is to empower each child to understand their emotions, navigate their experiences, and thrive both personally and academically.
Parenting is both deeply rewarding and incredibly challenging. In my practice, I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where we can work together to understand your family's unique needs. We'll identify practical strategies to support your child's emotional development, distinguish between typical behaviors and those that may require attention, and create a treatment plan aligned with your family's values and goals.
By fostering collaboration and open communication, we aim to empower you with the tools and confidence to navigate parenting challenges effectively.
As a young adult, you may be navigating significant life transitions—graduating, starting a career, or redefining relationships. These changes can bring feelings of uncertainty, anxiety, or even depression. You might find yourself questioning your path or struggling to envision what's next.
In our sessions, I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space where we can explore these challenges together. Through open dialogue—what I refer to as "Small Talk"—we'll delve into your experiences, identify your strengths, and work to develop coping strategies that align with your goals.
I believe in your capacity for growth and change. Together, we'll work to untangle the complexities you're facing and cultivate a renewed perspective on life, empowering you to move forward with confidence and clarity
